I am a new comer to Rebecca Wards work, but my jaw drops every time i see it. The things she can do with colored masking/electrical tape is amazing! I will defiantly be looking for her upcoming installations and hopefully can see some in person.
So who knows how I stumbled across this guys work, but who cares! His work is pretty fab, skulls, bunnies and storm troopers what more could you ask for. I would look through everything because there are many surprises.
These reminded of our old office when we had the space invaders above us as we worked. But apparently now they are coming to attack in real life - look out!
Ok Star Wars fans... here is your chance clame your 15 sec. clip and get to filming! This has been making the rounds, but there is still a chance for you to be in the fan-made version of Star Wars: A New Hope.
Maybe you have seen it... maybe you haven't, so I'm sharing it. Sleeveface.com: one or more persons obscuring or augmenting any part of their body or bodies with record sleeve(s) causing an illusion. Add it to your bookmarks and check out. A new sleeve everyday.
What... you never saw the aliens when you were taking the photos? They couldn't have magically appeared? Check out the space invaders that have made their way into these now slightly strange vintage photos.
The Annotated Weekender is my new favorite blog of the moment. The randomness of the doodles on top of articles, photos, ads, etc is always surprising. It's been bookmarked and will be visited often.
The pictures explain it all...
It wiggles and jiggles. "Jell-O Cocktail Trumpery" took the win which was a collections of oversized jewelry pieces, but there was jello-o turkey, hamburgers, fries, and much more.
Who wants a boring plain red fire extinguisher. Give yourself an upgrade and get one of these colorful, patterned extinguisher... they even have cow print!
Its one thing to photograph the sandwiches you eat, but why not take it a step further and actually scan your sandwiches. Check out the last month in sandwiches.
Stumbled across these and just had to share. Phillip Toledano's work covers a lot of ground. With images of fashion out of whisks or strings or lights, to strange portraits, or an image of a little boy playing inside with a gas mask on. Its worth a look.
Our office loves new iPhone apps and this is a new must have. A game that tests your "designer skills" of how well you know how to kern type. Its totally worth the 99 cents.
ok, so not so much mmm... as it is ewww... "This is why you're fat" a website where dreams become heart attacks shows the ultimate piggy's delight.
1 part turntable + 1 part pen/paper + innovation = Jim le Fevre's phonographantasmascope! Jim shows off his attempt to build a zoetrope with a turntable. I think attempt is an understatement because has great success and he gets some fun results. Check it out.
The most amazing pop-up book ever for type nerds like myself. Its got spinning designs and vellum overlays! What more could you ask for! The curves of the letter B slide out from a column thinly striped in red: they appear as narrowly spaced concentric arcs, creating an almost hypnotic effect... You get the point.
Not sure about everyone else, but when I was younger I was all about making pictures in my mashed potatoes during the holidays. These food creations put mine to shame... guess I will need to try harder this holiday season. Check out the awesome creations Obento! has collected on Flickr
The holidays are a great time for DIY projects at least in my house, so this Dove is prefect. Instructions and all, no video though. Still not sure about the red LED though, might have to hunt for a different color.
love you teddy. this wont happen to you. Kilimanjaro magazine produced a crazy shoot and exploded teddy bears by shooting them. A little morbid I know, but it reminds me of a pillow fight. This will not happen to my teddy, Polar however.
Sang Won Sung has made some pretty funky characters... joining Barbie arms, toy car parts and more. Most likely you will see part of one of your childhood toys reappropriated.
ok, so everyone loves a classic car... but what about their "logotypes!" Car type collected all in one place, mustang, bel air, charger, you name it deliciousindustries of the UK collected images of it.
the new street art... moss on the walls instead of spray cans. check out Anna Garforth's beautiful typography is her "Mossenger" project.

I am always looking for cool handmade typography and came across, Craig David. His images are made mostly via letterpress or by cutting paper (by hand) into detailed illustrations and letters! The poster to the left took 11hrs to complete, crazy.
Andrio Abero is the man behind 33rpm, which is now based out of Brooklyn, NY. I got a chance to meet him last year and check out his screen printed posters. He is moving on up now and designing prints for Nylon mag, Zune, and SubPop records.
