where we live there is not a lot of street art so this site from our friend george kershaw jr. i was very very excited. this reminds me of walking down the tracks behind overland in los angeles.
I am always looking for cool handmade typography and came across, Craig David. His images are made mostly via letterpress or by cutting paper (by hand) into detailed illustrations and letters! The poster to the left took 11hrs to complete, crazy.
thanks to darryl at plaid we found this killer flickr page with some amazing south american street art. shot by chu doma these photos have great colours, great composition and all around fun. i love it. i want to make stuffed animals out of these guys...
Both of this years presidential candidates have used blogs to spearhead their virtual campaigns. This graphic by John Schwenkler of the Boston Globe uses typography to show the most frequent words used on their respective blogs.
This probably won't be a new site to many people but it was a first time visit for me. The t-shirts at Busted Tees are pretty clever. I'm a big fan of all the lame TV references, like the "Chubbies" t-shirt from Boy Meets World. I know I'm not the only one that loved that show!
"I tell people that I make pictures by cleaning" says English "reverse graffiti" artist. This environmentally friendly graffiti art can be seen in San Francisco.
this is pure fun. great and simple flash program. spend a little time with this dancin machine.
I've been letting this percolate in my head for a few days and realized that these PLAID guys are executing on a very good strategy. Social Media mavens, Plaid, out of Danbury CT joined us at our studio last Tuesday as part of their west coast tour. We rapped, they listened; they dropped knowledge, we soaked it up. These guys are on top of their game and we sent them home just that much fresher!
